Remembrance Day Concert
On Sunday afternoon @ 2 pm ...Pauline van der Roest, a mezzo soprano who performs in the operatic community with Dutch heritage, and the wonderful Frederic Lacroix (who we have had on the bench at Grace) have partnered to offer a 1 hour concert featuring music, stories, and poems and memories of WWII as told to Pauline by her mother in Holland. This same concert was offered at Music as Sanctuary at St. Andrews PCC downtown last year (https://www.standrewsottawa.ca/music-as-sanctuary, and also at the Tulip Festival. Cost is $20 (cash or etransfer). Not all the music is classical ... the set list includes war time favourites ... see the Music as Sanctuary program for the complete list. These are 2 of Ottawa's finest music professionals ... and I'm really excited to hear them and mark Remembrance Day in this manner.
