We are excited to confirm our Continuing Education event on Tuesday November 3rd. Join us on Zoom from 7pm to 9pm as Joy McLeod-Valle from the Ontario Caregiver Organization (OCO) leads an interactive presentation on Supporting Caregivers in Pastoral Care. We will explore practical ways to support caregivers in our communities, including navigating difficult emotions such as grief and guilt while building trust, listening without judgment, understanding empathy versus sympathy, resisting the urge to problem-solve or offer advice, and recognizing and affirming caregivers’ strengths. This session will provide valuable insights and strategies for fostering meaningful, supportive connections with caregivers in the community.
