Fires In Fort McMurray
A statement from the Rev. Lisa Aide, minister at Faith Presbyterian Church in Fort McMurray, has been made. The people from the congregation have all made it safely out of the city, though they are scattered north and south. More information, including how to donate, can be found below.

Thoughts and Prayers

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Tofflemire family. Recently Danical Tofflemire, daughter of Cheryl Tofflemire, was involved in a car accident and Danica is currently in intensive care. If you wish to receive updates on her condition or track her recovery, a Facebook page has been setup here:

About six weeks ago I started travelling with a new companion who comes with me every time I take the car out. It took me a while to figure out where he likes to ride because he seems to be quite particular about his seating arrangements.

The Apostle Paul talks about the pressures he faced in II Corinthians 1:8-9.

Ever had a moment when your body began to express what your heart was feeling? Maybe you were fist pumping for your team in the Stanley Cup playoffs, or cheering on your children at their soccer game, or maybe you just had a moment when you needed to hug a friend. At times our bodies speak louder than our words. The same is true in our relationship with God. This book seeks to examine a number of different accounts in the Bible where in encounters with God people's bodies communicated what their lips could not. It invites us through some practical exercises at the end of each chapter to give our bodies opportunity to express themselves before the Lord in postures described in each chapter. [READ MORE]
