Hi everyone! Hope you are well.
Last month we sent an update with a few different things that were happening and just wanted to keep you posted and thank you for your prayers…
Dan’s trip to Senegal: He had an amazing time and God did some really beautiful things among the staff and students. They were able to grow in knowledge and confidence of God’s love for them and one even decided to get baptized as a response to what God was doing through it! What a privilege for Dan to be with this school with three amazing students thirsty to know God and make him known! He made it home safe and sound a few weeks ago.
Sarah’s School of Biblical Studies: the marathon is done! After 10 months of deep dive into the scriptures, 6 days a week, 12 hours a day of study, and knowing so much more of God and who he is and his heart for the world, the journey is finally complete and I am SO thankful for the opportunity (and perfect timing) to do this school! I really felt it was a step that God was leading me to take in preparation for the season ahead and now that it’s done, I can definitely say that was the case. I’ll tell you more about some treasures I gleaned when we write a more “official” update.
Evangelism campaign in Montreal - Today marks exactly 50 years since the beginning of the Montreal Olympics. During that event, YWAM sent hundreds of youth into the city to share the good news of Jesus and this event is what marked the birth of YWAM Dunham (as our centre acted as the base camp for this campaign). As a way of marking that event and celebrating God’s faithfulness, we are hosting yet another 9-day city-wide evangelism campaign to reach the city for Jesus and it begins tonight! We look forward to sharing stories with you of how God has been on the move through this event. Even yesterday, while they were setting up the venue, there were already people coming and asking questions, receiving prayer, and eager to come to the evangelistic event that will be happening next weekend.
Please keep this outreach and the city of Montreal in your prayers this week. Pray that many would not only hear the gospel, but would respond and meet Jesus in a life-changing way and that the local church would be deeply encouraged.
