Hello and happy fall everyone!

The last thing we left you with was the conclusion of our summer arts intensive. So much has happened since and we’d love to share with you and invite your prayers for this coming season of ministry.

After the intensive, we were able to take some vacation in Ontario with family as well as do our annual canoe camping trip (always a meaningful moment of rest and connection for us as we gear up toward a new school year). In between these two things, we helped run a week of training for a cohort of 6 new YWAM Dunham missionaries just arriving to serve here in Quebec in a variety of ways (DTS staff, Bible school staff, etc.). It was an amazing time of training and connection. It’s always so encouraging to be around people who have just taken a big leap of faith as they say YES to where God is calling them. We also both love to teach so it was a lot of fun to do so in this context.

Immediately after we got back from camping, I (Sarah) had the opportunity to paint a mural in town which was such an amazing way to connect more with the people of the village and bless our town. If you’re curious about it, you can see the process on facebook/instagram.

Please pray for us as we jump in to ministry/study this fall. There’s a lot going on and we’re so excited, but our plates are quite full and we need wisdom and guidance to manage our time and responsibilities well:

  • Sarah has just begun a very intensive 9 month School of Biblical Studies in order to get more training for what is ahead in the future.
  • This month we’ll be running a creative retreat for artists in the area (please pray that the artists that come would be refreshed and empowered in their giftings that God has given them as artists).
  • We’ll be running an arts seminar called “Creative Image Bearers” in November. It requires a lot of organization and we’re so excited that so many local artists and artists from our YWAM community will be participating. Pray that God would meet them in a particular way and that it would be a catalyst for Godly transformation both for them personally as well as for the sphere of the arts in our region.
  • We’ve reduced the amount of arts drop-ins that we’ll be doing with the teens from our area this season, so please pray that the times that we do have will be meaningful and that the Spirit would minister to them the way they need.
  • Please continue to pray for Dan and his team as they continue to serve on the leadership team that oversee the ministry and community of YWAM Dunham.

Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement! Lots of love to you as you enter this new season.
