Dear Faith and Community Leaders,
It has been a while since I have connected with you all! Hopefully you are all doing well. As I promised in the past, I will only share information with you that I think is appropriate or relevant to your work, as not to overwhelm you with emails. As such, I have received information about a unique opportunity regarding a free suicide prevention workshop you might be interested in, which I thought I should share!
Please see the information below with the attached PDF. Please feel free to share with your networks as well! Note that this session is only currently being offered to youth OR people who work with youth (including other faith leaders). It is not currently open to community members.
Information:
SafeTALK is a 3.5 hour, in-person suicide prevention workshop that teaches participants how to recognize when someone is having thoughts of suicide, and how to get them connected to help.
This session is typically a paid course, however we are offering it for free/no-cost with Ottawa Public Health’s Mental Health Team. Participants will receive a certificate at the end of the workshop.
Registration is required as there are limited seats.
