Dear Innercity Intercessors,
You cannot imagine how much I appreciate your prayers and support! When things become challenging, I think of the army of intercessors who are praying for OIM Staff, volunteers and friends. Honestly, it means a lot and brings to my mind the words, "You are not alone."
Outreach in all areas continues to be strong and Street Outreach teams are recording record numbers daily, sometimes connecting with over 50 a night! Thanks for lifting all of our outreach programs individually before the Lord.
Turning to: "OIM: Homeless No More", and the progress to buy our building. We presented an offer of money along with a gift in kind receipt and it was accepted! We were very excited to have such great news!
Subsequently, we discovered that instead of a straight forward 'asset purchase' there are shares involved, there is ownership by the parent company and we have to find a way to navigate this path, hoping to continue to use the same number and amount of gift in kind.
It is complicated and has many layers.
Your prayers are critical in these days! Pray that we find a way to make this work, with lawyers and accountants and others, and that it goes smoothly and without further challenges. Timing of course, is also a significant factor.
Our God is greater than all, and He is our Provider and Source. He also uses resources (you and me) to accomplish His perfect plan. Some give, some volunteer, we all can pray.
In concluding, I think of Habakkuk 3: 1 "I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint". We look to God!
